MSDS VAULT.COM IMPLEMENTATION ESTABLISHES REAL TIME COMPLIANCE SOLUTION FOR DOMINION SEMICONDUCTOR
Hampton, NH, March 20, 2000---Actio Corporation today stated Virginia based DRAM (dynamic random access memory) chip manufacturer, Dominion Semiconductor, has successfully completed the integration and implementation of their B2B web based environmental and regulatory compliance solution MSDS Vault™.
Actio’s MSDS Vault subscription service was selected to replace Dominion’s paper-based MSDS management system. With MSDS Vault.com, Dominion has attained 24 hour/7 day a week secure standardized access to manufacturer MSDS data sheets. The company reported attaining an efficient, cost effective solution to eliminate their administrative burden associated with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard compliance. Stated Steve Weisz, Senior Safety Engineer for Dominion Semiconductor, "We evaluated many software alternatives, and found that Actio’s MSDS Vault offered everything we needed. It meets our primary need for "real time" information in our paperless clean rooms, as well as providing the critical link to standardized MSDS information for 1200 employees, at a reasonable cost. Since no special software is required, integration with our intranet was quick and effortless".
Dominion Semiconductor, located in Manassas, Virginia is a joint venture of IBM and Toshiba America Electronics Components, Toshiba’s U.S. subsidiary for manufacturing, marketing and sales of electronic components.
