Quality Assurance Gets a Software Boost from Actio
Portsmouth, NH, USA – October 31, 2011 – Actio Corporation today announced three key updates to its flagship software solution that supports manufacturing quality assurance systems. The SaaS software solution is called “Material Disclosure.”
Material Disclosure is the first tool of its kind. Served up over the internet and available by subscription, the software is used by quality assurance professionals in charge of environmental regulatory compliance and supply chain risk mitigation.
The groundbreaking tool works by automating and managing supply chain communication and chemical information collection processes for lifecycle assessment and compliance under global restricted lists such as those of REACH, RoHS, TSCA, CA Prop. 65, IPC, DSL, “China RoHS” and many others.
Material Disclosure’s new features include:
• IPC1752 xml schema importer and generator
• Enhanced supplier contact management tools
• Advanced supplier response query tools
“Lifecycle assessment tools are receiving an unprecedented level of industry and regulatory attention,” said Russell McCann, President and CEO of Actio. “Organized information about product composition, downstream use, manufacturing processes and updated regulatory lists must be housed in a robust, relational database in order for companies to manage change, reduce brand risk, and keep adequate intelligence about chemical ingredients.
“We continually improve Material Disclosure so that the software tool stays one step ahead of the curve and brings extra value to our customers,” said McCann.
