Boston-area company faces intensive audit: receives SAS 70 evaluation

PORTSMOUTH, NH April 15, 2009 – Actio Corporation, the leading provider of chemical management software, announced today it received the esteemed Statement on Auditing Standards Number 70 (SAS 70) certification.

SAS 70 is awarded sparingly to companies who meet stringent and exhaustive auditing in all areas of the organization, from hardware and data security measures to corporate business processes. SAS 70 represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities, which often include controls over information technology and related processes.
