Actio Vault manages critical material and substance MSDS data in 14 languages for EU and Asia-Pacific
PORTSMOUTH, NH July 7, 2008 – Actio Corporation, the leading provider of chemical management software, today announced its updated version of MSDS Vault. The new version is designed to support global, multi-lingual manufacturers.
The new MSDS Vault is enhanced with functionality and help to support languages throughout Europe and Asia-Pacific. As manufacturers expand into new markets they must provide chemical hazardous communication according to local regulations for their employees.
“Actio’s latest version of MSDS Vault supports globalization,” explained Russell McCann, software industry veteran, CEO, and co-Founder of Actio Corporation. “Today’s manufacturers produce products that ship all over the world. Supply chains themselves are all over the world, operating under unique subsets of global and local compliance ordinances. In addition, sustainability objectives for worker safety must be reported. In regions where safety has not been a mainstream consideration, the global manufacturing company needs to implement safety procedures/processes that are similar to those found in their home office”.
“To grow with our customer base, MSDS Vault had to be extended to support character sets for non-Latin based languages,” said McCann. ”We have been seeing a tremendous push into APAC and are happy to support our customers as we grow together.”
Initially, MSDS Vault will support the major western European languages including: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese. For APAC languages MSDS Vault will support: Kanji, Mandarin, Malay and Simplified Chinese.
